Ripplin' Sky
About a half-hour ago, the TruGreen guys came by. I had to grab my jacket to let them into the back yard and spotted this sky in the south:
 Made me think of the John Denver song..."Got ripplin' water to wake me..." only this time it is sky, not water. To the west (maybe west northwest):  Southeast:  Before I shut the camera and ran inside, I heard the hawk scolding; tracked the sound and just clicked quick, with no chance to zoom in:  Pretty opening to a less than auspicious morning. Slept really badly last night; still don't feel all that swuft. Think I need hot soup for lunch. » Wednesday, October 28, 2009

On the Sunset Side of the Street
From 6 through 7 p.m. we had a front go through. It rained some, a little thunder.
About 8:50 p.m. John Adams ended and I got up from the couch to take my pill, only to see a bright light streaming in the front door. This is the picture I took from the doorway:

Hm. It's Still Snowing...
...but rain is creeping up from the south.
Quick, before it's gone: This was taken at 5 p.m., just as it was beginning to stick:  Snow flies around the porch:  Just as twilight fell, I went back out to take this:  Used the flash on this one; that's some flash! I took this from the mailbox:  Welcoming you home:  Here's snow flurrying 'round the deck:  Portrait in blue; the street at night:  Snowscape:  Later. I think it's raining, but from these pics, taken about 8:30, it still looks like snow in the flash. Maybe it's sleet.
