The box is lovely, made by a Pennsylvania Amish craftsperson. I fell in love with the beautiful knot and hoped the box I ordered had a similar knot. Instead, they gave me the sample box. We had a wonderful time on our Pennsylvania vacation in 2009, so it's sort of a memory inside a memory.
The mug was his favorite for the last few years. He had his tea in it every morning as he made breakfast. It came from the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. That was a nice vacation, too. We went to the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio, and the Neil Armstrong Museum in Wapakoneta, and then the Henry Ford and Greenfield Village (docent at Greenfield Village; now there's a dream job...), and Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, Michigan.
