I had forgotten to mention the book I found at McKay's and turned over to James: the 1936
Your Wings by Assen Jordanoff, a noted Bulgarian aviator. No dust jacket; instead it looks like
this. It's a manual of learning to fly and how aerodynamics and the aircraft works, all with vintage 1930s illustrations. And let's say it wasn't at eBay prices, either.
