Well, it's done. The closing attorney arrived at 6 p.m. and left at 7 p.m. after giving us an advanced case of writer's cramp. Signing mortgage papers always reminds me of the scene in an episode of
M*A*S*H where Radar asks Henry to sign something, then to initial the second copy, and then to sign to acknowledge he initialed the second copy instead of signing. You get a long form which you have to sign and then initial the rest of the pages, then a short form acknowledging receipt of the long form which you have to sign, etc, etc, etc.
Anyway, we now have a 15-year mortgage at 4.37 percent.
