Teeter-Totter Temperatures
Whew! Willow and I found ourselves blown about on our walk; it's only about 40°F out and the wind has an edge to it. Only supposed to be 43 tomorrow—and then WXIA is talking 63 on Tuesday, although Weather Channel's verdict is only 59. What a difference in a few days! They're anticipating a low of 16 tonight and the birds have been stocking up for it. The red-headed woodpecker has been visiting several times, but I have yet to get a photo since he's always on the watch. He seems to be living in the thicket next to the trailer park behind us. However, the female bluebird and the female house finch have both shown up. ----------------------------------------------------------------
