I was saddened to hear about this because Foxtrot is also one of my favorites as well. In a time when each comic strip seems to want to copy Gary Larson's The Far Side (an amusing strip, but hyped beyond overkill), Bill Amend's Foxtrot combines the "bigfoot school" of cartooning with the old-fashioned continuity of the best comics of yesteryear.
