Linda, that's not cold. It's currently -14 Celsius here (about 10 Fahrenheit) and it's just a little nippy. Come February it'll get down below -40. That's cold. (But only if there's a wind chill.)
 

LOL. Brent, for Georgia, 50 is cold. By the time I get home I'll be able to smell wood smoke from folks who have lit up their fireplaces. I've seen kids around here put on parkas when it got under 60. Meanwhile, if it's 50 and it's breezy, I'm happy. James and I always say if we win the lottery, we are decamping to New Hampshire.
 

BTW, Brent, we have a "severe weather warning" on our Weather Channel listing because...gasp...there's a freeze warning. It's going to get down to...gasp!...31°F. :-)
 

Hi Linda: Meanwhile, up here in the Northeast we had unseasonably warm weather and strong winds today. I am sorry that you are so sad; it is the time of the year and the loss of your Mom. The first year is the most difficult. Please call if you need to connect. By the way, I miss Woolworths too.
